RESIN:

*I absolutely LOVE KSresin. I have tried a few and this one by far blows others out of the water. I use the liquid art resin and my coasters are crystal clear. Use code "KamandLan" to save on your order! They offer free & quick shipping as well. They offer pumps to purchase for your resin jugs which is a game changer!

PPE (Personal Protective Equipment):

AirGear Pro Face Mask/Respirator with Goggles: https://amzn.to/3FuFySD

*EXTREMELY important is to wear PPE when working with Resin along with being in a well ventilated area. This mask is perfect because the goggles are attached and it is adjustable respirator.

AirGear Pro Face Mask Cartridge/Filter for Respirator: https://amzn.to/3yMEKEG

*Replacement filters for the respirator

Disposable Gloves: https://amzn.to/3yK0iSr

*During recent times, it is hard to find gloves. It is best to find non-medical gloves to preserve those for who truly need the medical gloves. These are perfect to keep your hands nice and clean when working with resin.

Molds:

*They have some really cool silicone mold designs! I use the geode coaster mold for my flower coasters. Use code "KamandLan" for 10% off your entire order.

Heart Silicone Molds: https://amzn.to/2EL6D7x

*I used these heart silicone molds for my daisy heart magnets! It comes with a few different sizes. Perfect to keep to the side if you have extra resin so it does not go to waste.

*This is perfect for jewelry and comes with a few stir sticks that I love and are listed below.

TOOLS:

Sondiko Butane Mini Torch: https://amzn.to/2XhAXx5

* I like this torch because it is easy to unlock and use. The flame can be adjustable as well. It gives good power to pop bubbles or push out resin. Other torches I had to use my thumb nail to unlock it and it was not easy to use. You will need to purchase the butane separately. Side note: a torch can ruin silicon molds.

Butane for Mini Torch: https://amzn.to/3gi3tGl

*I found that you need to shake the can, turn the torch upside-down to fill it. Learn from my mistakes :)

*I have used many different stir devices. These little stir sticks work very well. You get a lot for your dollar. Once the resin cures, it will pop right off of the stick to use again. I use both ends too.

*I purchased 3 of these I love them so much! it is so easy to overlap them for a larger working space. The resin pops right off when cured. Easy to wash with warm soap and water as well.

*These are perfect for small batches or mixing different colors. When cured, the resin pops right out! check out my video on Instagram to see how easy it is.

Silicon Measuring Cup Kit: https://amzn.to/2EslDHn

*These are perfect for reusable measuring cups. I also use the small pour silicon cups for my coaster/ smaller designs.

* Dixie cups are great to have on hand for mixing smaller batches of different colors

*Believe it or not, I use a lint roller to clean up little drips of cured resin from my silicon mats!

*This stuff is a life saver for top coating!!!! You just brush the liquid latex on the back of the coaster, let it dry, add top coat on the other side, once that is dry you can peel off the latex along with any drips! I use the same paint brush to apply it each time. I just rinse it, the latex will harden in the bristles but its ok to keep using each time. you can do a thin or thick layer. I just recommend trying to remove the latex around 24 hr mark.

Scotch Blue Painters Tape: https://amzn.to/3gehdS5

*This is another alternative to liquid latex. I use this on my tile coasters and anything with a straight edge. Tape the back of a project, once the drips cured you can heat up the tape and pull it right off including any drips. The sooner the better to remove the tape.

Seekone Heat Gun: https://amzn.to/3jJB7Xt

*I have a wagner heat gun and this heat gun as well. Both work very well but I like the heat gun with additional nozzles that are cone shaped for pushing out waves.

Wagner Heat Gun: https://amzn.to/2Bz9FKK

*If you dont need the cone attachment this is a great heat gun! You can see the different temperature ranges and speed of air.

*Turn your pretty artwork into fridge magnets! recommended to use glue E6000 to attach, it may sink into your resin due to the weight.

*I use this for everything that needs attached, re-attached! Love this stuff. just a little dab goes a long way.

PIGMENTS/COLORS:

Mica Powders (Meyspring) : https://amzn.to/2D8q1dK

*All mica powders from Meyspring are stunning! They come in a large jar or if you buy the multipack (recommended) they come in small baggies. The multipacks are great to try out different colors you may not have picked. They are very shiny as well.

Pigment Paste (KSResin) : https://bit.ly/2VIxhE2

*KSResin has amazing pigment pastes. A little goes a long way! Use discount code KamandLan to save on your order! Free & quick shipping on any item!

Colorful Pigments (Resin Obsession): http://i.refs.cc/YCOb7zjb

*They have wonderful colors to choose from and very vibrant. Use the link to get 10% off your entire order!

White Pigment (Casting Craft): https://amzn.to/2DmSE6V

*This is perfect for waves and flower petals. This white can create cells too.

*Perfect for ocean waves and cells.

Glitters (holographic) : https://amzn.to/3g8gCRW

*I am obsessed with holographic glitter in my artwork.

*I use this all of the time for the center of my resin coaster flowers

Crushed Crystals: https://amzn.to/39xqdPJ

*Perfect way to add a little something extra to your artwork!

Krylon Paint Pen - Gold Edge: https://amzn.to/3hIMVaR

*These are so easy to use for edging your geode coasters. Shake , push tip to get the paint going and run the pen along the edge of the coaster. I do the sides and then run a thin line around the top of the coaster. Personal preference!

Krylon Paint Pen - Silver Edge: https://amzn.to/2QGczkK

FLOWERS:

Dried Flowers: https://amzn.to/3hZYzxW

*Purchasing flowers that are already dried is a great alternative to drying flowers yourself.

*They have some really pretty dried flowers & different varieties! Use code "KamandLan" for 10% off your entire order.

Silica gel for drying flowers: https://amzn.to/2ECuqpZ

*This is required for drying out flowers if you are going to do it yourself. Follow the instructions on how many days of drying is required based on the type of flower. Never put fresh flowers in resin, it will eventually rot.

SHIPPING:

Glassine Art Paper: https://amzn.to/39Rtsly

*This will protect your artwork for any indents while traveling to its forever home. Never place bubble wrap directly against the artwork as it can leave in prints even if fully cured. The packages can be delivered via hot trucks/ hot weather/ humid weather etc. which will cause the imprints from the bubble wrap directly on the resin artwork.

*After I wrap in Glassine paper, I then wrap it in Kraft paper to give it a nice look. You can add a pretty ribbon or twine around the package.

*Depending on the item you are shipping, you may need to protect it from the wonderful world of shipping with bubble wrap.

Thermal Label Printer: https://amzn.to/3vmW1kM

*I have read a lot of reviews and many others love this label printer, its compact and so cute! This will save A LOT of money on buying paper and ink for your printer.

Thermal Labels for shipping- blank (4"x6"): https://amzn.to/3bLDwhW

*Depending on the label printer brand, I would recommend to buy the printer labels that are sold by the company of the label maker.

Thermal Stickers for Custom Stickers - blank: https://amzn.to/3hQwdtc

*These blank stickers are so cute and perfect to put your logo on, or "thank you"!

*Research different ways to ship including measurements, weight & postage discount websites to save on shipping like Pirate Ship. Pirate ship can connect to your etsy shop as well, if you get an etsy order, it will link and pull the shipping address directly into Pirate Ship for easy shipping. You print the shipping label, tape to package and drop off at post office.

*You can even get free USPS 'flat rate' boxes or envelopes for free from USPS shipped directly to your home. This may be a good option if you are shipping heavy items.

BE UNIQUE:

Inspiration:

*It is great to get inspiration from other artist's work but please make it your own. Some artist pride themselves on being unique and making their artwork a certain way. Be mindful when asking for advice or products they use. Give credit where credit is due. If you are inspired by an artist, give them a shoutout. Artists love when they can inspire others.

Business Cards: www.vistaprint.com

*Very important to have an easy way of customers to contact you especially if you are at a vendor show. They may grab your card, check out your social media and contact you later. The cards can be very basic.

Thank you note: https://amzn.to/33kj2JV

*I always include a personalized , handwritten thank you note no matter how many times someone has ordered from me. This sets you out from the rest and customers will definitely remember this nice touch of appreciation.

*When selling at a vendor show or locally, I always put my artwork in a nice gift bag. This again sets you apart from others.

Social Media:

*Stay current on social media, interact with your followers and get them engaged. Very important to drive people to your product by putting it out there. Collaborate with other artists for giveaways, you will gain more followers as well if it is part of the rules for the giveaway.
